About the Role

The Senior TypeScript Developer role focuses on designing and building scalable applications, making architectural decisions, and mentoring junior developers. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust TypeScript applications across front-end and back-end systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices and design patterns.
  • Architect scalable solutions and make technical decisions that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering their technical growth.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Optimize application performance and identify bottlenecks.
  • Stay current with TypeScript ecosystem developments and recommend new technologies or approaches.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and coding standards.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of extensive TypeScript experience in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, ES6+, and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with Node.js and back-end TypeScript development.
  • Extensive experience designing and building distributed architectures and microservices.
  • Expert-level knowledge of API design principles, RESTful APIs, and/or GraphQL.
  • Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
