About the Role
Assist Ambulance is seeking an experienced Driver Safety Trainer to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct driver evaluations as needed.
- Conduct training classes for candidates, new hires, and annually, completing all associated documentation.
- Review ambulette driving for infractions and accidents.
- Conduct coaching and counseling sessions with drivers and crewmembers on infractions and accidents, completing all necessary paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be available Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM.
- Must possess a valid New York State driver's license, D-class or above, with an acceptable driving abstract/record.
- Must have experience training drivers (commercial experience preferred but not required).
- Must have experience professionally coaching and counseling drivers on driving/passenger infractions and accidents.
- Must be comfortable using digital data systems for human resource management and automatic vehicle tracking (e.g., Lytx, Samsara, Motiv).
- Must be comfortable writing reports and corresponding via email.
- Ideal candidate possesses a valid New York State EMT certificate.
