About the Role

As an AI Solution Architect, you will unlock the potential of AI for the entire METRO organization. You will rapidly deliver business-driven AI solutions by integrating existing cloud models and APIs, building digital agents, and engineering the future of smart wholesale with pragmatic, secure, maintainable, and observable AI-powered solutions that drive business value. Your work will impact how METRO operates in the age of AI.

Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between technical roles (AI engineers, automation engineers, data scientists), business stakeholders, and the architecture community.
Translate business goals into AI-powered solutions, ensuring technical feasibility through collaboration with various engineering teams.
Prototype and deliver Proofs of Concept (POCs) quickly by utilizing cloud-based AI/ML services and third-party LLM endpoints.
Design agent and multi-agent solutions.
Design the integration of new AI solutions into the existing enterprise application landscape.
Create comparative analyses and technical recommendations across multiple AI solutions (e.g., agents orchestrators, open LLMs, computer vision solutions).
Define technical standards, frameworks, and best practices for AI and ML systems.
Advise business stakeholders on technical vision and strategy.
Inspire and coach development teams to leverage Google Cloud AI services/products.
Continuously seek new inspiration to enhance architecture within and beyond your area of responsibility.

Requirements

Experience architecting AI-powered products based on Google Cloud Platform.
Experience in an architect role, particularly within Cloud environments.
Strong understanding of diverse technology stacks and architectural approaches to recommend appropriate software architecture and solutions for complex business problems.
Ability to articulate the impact of architecture and design choices on non-functional requirements (scalability, performance, availability, security) in the context of AI-powered solutions.
Proficiency in discussing architecture principles for agent and multi-agent systems.
Capability to translate business requirements into technical frameworks.
Broad expertise including modern operations approaches (CI/CD pipelines, logging & monitoring) for AI-powered solutions (e.g., chats, agents, ML models, computer vision models).
An inspirational attitude towards AI solutions, aiming to redefine METRO's operations in the AI era.
Act as a collaborative leader bridging technical, business, and governance teams.
Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
