About the Role
Assist with the organization and direction of all club racquets activities, events, tournaments, and lessons. Requires a professional appearance, prompt and courteous service, and adherence to club policies. Maintain safe procedures while teaching and coordinating events.
Responsibilities
- Assists with organization and direction of all club racquets activities, events, exhibitions, trips, tournaments, and lesson programs.
- Maintains a professional appearance, provides prompt and courteous service to members and guests, and adheres to club policies.
- Develops and promotes all aspects of Westwood Country Club's racquets program.
- Bills members in a timely manner.
- Continuously creates opportunities and experiences to encourage member participation in the racquets program.
- Assists in teaching tennis and pickleball for club programs, clinics, and camps.
- Manages communication and correspondence with members regarding all racquets programming.
- Contributes to the racquets program's development through training, instructional seminars/courses, and knowledge sharing.
- Contributes racquets-related news and pictures for the club newsletter.
- Assists in racquets shop sales and merchandising.
- Answers incoming calls to the tennis shop.
- Ensures all club members and guests receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention to their racquets needs.
- Markets racquets facilities to members and guests.
- Attends all staff meetings.
- Inspects and maintains all physical areas for cleanliness.
- Prepares promotional materials for members.
- Performs all work-related duties as assigned by the Director of Racquets and the leadership team.
Requirements
- Current USTA Safe-Play certification, or willingness to complete as a pre-condition of employment.
- Demonstrated participation in accredited Continuing Education programs.
- Ability to keep information confidential.
- Must possess an outgoing personality.

- Must always be courteous and tactful.
- Must treat others with kindness and respect.
- Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner to members and staff.

- Requires athleticism and involves standing, walking, running, twisting/turning, kneeling/squatting, reaching, bending/stooping, swinging a tennis racquet, climbing stairs, and lifting at least 50 pounds regularly.
- Job involves playing tennis when required and must be able to work in varied weather conditions, such as heat/cold/wind, etc. and for extended periods of time.
