About the Role

As a Test Manager & QA Automation Consultant at valantic STI, you will develop test strategies for challenging software projects, shape modern QA processes, and drive test automation and the use of new technologies. You will be responsible for test management and quality assurance in demanding software projects, develop test strategies, concepts, and KPIs, and manage test activities throughout the entire project lifecycle. You will also develop and operate automated end-to-end tests with Cypress and/or Playwright, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and utilize modern AI tools for test case generation, optimization, and analysis.

Responsibilities

Responsibility for test management and quality assurance in demanding software projects.
Development of test strategies, test concepts, and KPIs, and management of test activities throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Development and operation of automated end-to-end tests with Cypress and/or Playwright and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.
Utilization of modern AI tools for test case generation, test optimization, and analysis, and evaluation of new solutions for practical application.
Consulting clients on the introduction of modern QA processes, test automation, and shift-left approaches.
Close collaboration with development teams and clients, and active contribution to the further development of QA standards.

Requirements

Completed studies in a STEM field or a comparable qualification.
Minimum of five years of experience in software testing, test management, or as a QA Lead.
Sound knowledge of test methods and test management, ideally supplemented by an ISTQB certification.
Practical experience in test automation with Cypress and/or Playwright and integration into CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency with test management tools such as Jira Xray, TestRail, or comparable solutions.
Interest in the use of AI in software testing, ideally with practical experience with relevant tools.
Analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and a structured, self-reliant way of working.
Very good German and English language skills.
