About the Role
The Sr. Revenue Growth Manager will apply analytics to optimize product, assortment, price, place, pack, and promotion for profitable revenue growth. This role encourages stronger collaboration across functions, embraces dynamic scenario planning, and facilitates joint value approaches with retailers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of a divisional three-year RGM Strategic Plan, aligning brand strategy with pricing strategy and key tactics.
- Optimize promotional effectiveness and cost through depth, frequency, and vehicle.
- Optimize the price consumers pay for products by changing the price charged to retailers.
- Adjust product size/pack or create new offerings to meet consumer and channel needs.
- Drive product, customer, and channel mix towards higher Sales/gross margin items.
- Optimize customer trade terms and agreements for margin management.
- Collaborate and influence across the organization, working closely with Sales Account teams and divisional cross-functional partners.
- Liaise with divisional specialists in Industrial, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to understand capacity limitations and commodity inflation.
- Lead company-wide RGM training on an ongoing basis, covering the five pillars of RGM.
- Support the Director, RGM in identifying and leading RGM opportunities across Lactalis Canada.
- Develop the divisional trade promotion strategy by analyzing the promotional landscape.
- Conduct event-level ROI analysis and communicate insights to RGM Director and Customer Leadership Teams.
- Rethink price pack architecture to balance affordability with profit and category expansion.
- Partner with the Sales Team in annual negotiations with assigned customer(s).
- Support and influence the Sales Team in optimizing the promotional calendar.
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finances, or other relevant field.
- Previous experience in Revenue Growth Management.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales, trader marketing, or finance business experience in CPG, preferably FMCG.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill information and uncover insights.
- Strong finance and business acumen.
- Experience working with industry-specific tools such as shopper and TPO (Trade Promotion Optimization) tools (AC Nielsen, IRI, Dunnhumby, etc.).
- Understanding of the integration of information management and forecasting systems.
- Proven functional/technical understanding of trade promotions, specifically in relation to the “4 P’s”.
- Direct experience in monitoring & analyzing trade promotions, including creation of accurate promotional pre & post evaluations using ROI measures.
- Experience with scenario planning for portfolio trade promotional changes.
- Understanding of the end-to-end steps required to deploy a change in trade promotional strategy within a market.
