About the Role

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Regional GOTV Directors to manage and develop a team of GOTV Organizers for a large-scale voter contact effort. This role involves coaching, feedback, real-time problem-solving, and ensuring the GOTV Leadership team has insight into daily operations. The position runs from August 17 to November 15, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support organizers through weekly one-on-ones, coaching, and feedback.
  • Coordinate in-region efforts with counterparts from other departments and the coordinated campaign.
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, learning, and support within the team.
  • Support and hold organizers accountable for meeting voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and volunteer leadership goals.
  • Maintain strong communication structures, including daily check-ins/outs, team chats, reporting channels, and shared calendars.
  • Share campaign priorities, strategic shifts, and plans with organizers.
  • Ensure staging locations are identified, secured, equipped, staffed, and prepared for GOTV operations.
  • Respond quickly to challenges to maintain effective organizing programs.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate regional metrics, with increased reporting during GOTV.

Requirements

  • At least 4 months of experience managing a team.
  • At least 2 cycles of experience on a campaign.
  • Commitment to the Texas Democrats mission, organizational values, goals, and objectives.
  • Task and time management skills.
  • Experience planning, setting up, and staffing events.
  • Volunteer management or teambuilding acumen.
  • Access to a reliable car and driver's license.
  • Access to a phone and laptop computer.
  • Attention to detail when reviewing documents, organizing personal workspace, and coordinating with volunteers.
  • Strong mastery of computer systems like Google Suite, Excel, and online databases.
  • Familiarity with Votebuilder, Mobilize, Google suite, and other campaign tools (nice to have).
  • Experience working or volunteering on electoral, union, or community organizing campaigns (nice to have).

About the Company

  • The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Regional GOTV Directors to join our Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign.
  • Staff are proudly unionized and represented by IBEW Local 220.
  • This is an intensive, time-limited role at a pivotal moment for Texas Democrats.
  • Organizers should expect long days and a 6 day workweek beginning in August as the campaign scales toward Election Day.
  • We anticipate working 60+ hours per week and will end the campaign on 7 day work weeks.
