This leader will partner with stakeholders to identify needs and collaborate with Data Engineering, Actuarial, Finance, and Analytics organizations to deliver recurring reports, self-service analytical tools, automated monitoring, and deep-dive analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver recurring reports that provide clear insights into business performance and trends including growth, profitability, and mix of business.
  • Own portfolio performance monitoring across production and profitability metrics, identifying trends, emerging risks, and underperforming areas across products, segments, brokers, and other relevant dimensions.
  • Design and deliver automated monitoring capabilities that detect outliers and significant changes in trends.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand the drivers of portfolio performance, including rate inadequacy, rating factor drift, changes in risk mix, and underwriting or claims trends.
  • Provide clear, objective portfolio recommendations to support business decisions and portfolio strategy.
  • Use external data sources to produce recurring reports and analyses on CI’s competitive position, market share, and opportunity by line of business, segment, geography, etc.
  • Assess the impact of pricing changes and underwriting initiatives, determining whether actions have delivered the expected outcomes and identifying where further intervention is needed.
  • Act as a link between Pricing and Underwriting and Data & Analytics, translating actuarial insight into practical portfolio underwriting actions while balancing profitability objectives with commercial considerations.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of pricing tools, dashboards, and portfolio analytics capabilities.
  • Develop scenario-analysis capabilities to support business partners’ planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
  • Communicate portfolio performance, issues, and recommendations to key stakeholders, and support regular portfolio review and planning discussions.
