About the Role
As an Usher, you will contribute to exceptional guest experiences in our iconic concert venues by verifying tickets, directing guests, distributing materials, providing information, and maintaining a clean facility. You will deliver attentive service that enhances the event experience and assist guests with confidence and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
- Scan and verify proper ticketing required for entry, referring guests without proper tickets or credentials to the appropriate agent.
- Provide seating directions at points of entry and assist guests with further seating guidance or personal assistance as needed.
- Distribute approved handouts, including show programs, as required per event.
- Assist with crowd management during events, maintaining order in general seating areas and aisleways, and monitoring assigned sections for individuals needing assistance.
- Address disruptive guests by intervening in seating discrepancies, unauthorized recording, and kindly informing guests of required corrective action, contacting leadership if further assistance is required.
- Respond to guest concerns and take corrective action to resolve, contacting leadership if further assistance is required.
- Maintain overall cleanliness of the facility, including collecting trash before, during, and after shows.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown of chairs and seating configurations.
- Report any concerns or maintenance items to department and venue management.
- May be trained to perform post-show tours.
- Support emergency evacuation procedures when necessary by guiding guests and employees to designated locations and coordinating with security or paramedics as needed.
- Model company service basics, follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs, and promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous guest service experience preferred.
- Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Outgoing personality.
- Able to work during peak times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs.
- Speak, hear, and use non-verbal cues to communicate with guests.
- Near, distance and color vision for navigating ticketing and seating.
- Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items.
- Walk up and down stairs while navigating the venue.
- Regularly lift and carry up to 25lbs to carry materials or assist in set up/break down.
- Maintain mental and visual attention to respond to guest needs or emergencies.
