About the Role

Responsible for providing computer hardware and software support to the end user community. Additionally, responsible for inventory management and equipment deployment as well as assisting with procurement and invoicing.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver end user support for all LAN/WAN based applications in professional, courteous manner.
  • Document all support tickets and resolutions in Help Desk system.
  • Configure workstations, printers, and other equipment, meeting the expectations of end user needs.
  • Work rotational night/weekend on-call; respond to calls and contact appropriate personnel in event of emergency.
  • Coordinate hardware and software procurement, invoicing, and inventory management; work with IT team and existing vendors as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain control of computer and software asset inventory.
  • Assist IT management with all aspects of budget including planning, input, and tracking.
  • Assist with management of special projects to add to or improve technology suite as directed by Information Technology Support management.

Requirements

  • Ability to actively listen, provide friendly service, and demonstrate patience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
  • Technology troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of technology including hardware and software
  • Knowledge of current network system architectures and basic networking required
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with co-workers, and management.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative work team
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to spend brief period of time walking and in low postures such as crouching, kneeling, and stooping under desks and equipment
  • Ability to lift, move, pull, push, raise, lower, and carry equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to repetitively use a telephone, computer mouse, and keyboard for extended durations
  • Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment
  • Ability to participate in rotational on-call schedule to provide support outside of normal business hours (evenings and weekends)

Salary/Compensations

  • $65,000 – $75,000 annually
