About the Role
The Loren Hotel is seeking individuals who question the ordinary and strive for excellence to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining the understated luxury and sophistication of the hotel, ensuring a pristine and welcoming environment for guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform turndown service during the PM shift.
- Retrieve items from storage and set up cleaning carts with supplies.
- Maintain carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
- Wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets and stall walls, and wipe exposed pipes, mirrors, and sinks.
- Replace towels, soaps, and all room amenities, and restock literature.
- Wash all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings, including vents and ceiling corners.
- Strip beds of all linen and remake with fresh linen, checking for cleanliness.
- Lift mattresses to check for soil underneath.
- Check closet for cleanliness, wipe doors, handles, and overhead shelves, and restock supplies.
- Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways, operating vacuums and moving furniture.
- Inspect all doors and windows locks to ensure they are in working order and report any unsecured or unsafe situations.
- Inspect all room equipment (TV, lights, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order and report deficiencies.
- Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies.
- Complete all tasks and duties on the shift in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain proper etiquette with guests and employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by leadership.
Requirements
- Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles.
- Must have basic knowledge of the use of cleaning products.
- Must have basic knowledge of the operation of standard cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs continually throughout a shift.
- Must be able to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture throughout a shift.
- Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout a shift.
- Must be able to maneuver a fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs, through hallways and into/out of closets during the entire workday.
- Ability to identify minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas.
- Ability to read written instructions and computer print-outs.
