About the Role
Saratoga Eagle Sales & Service, Inc. is seeking a Beverage Merchandiser in the Ithaca/Cortland area. This role offers opportunities for growth into Sales Relief and Sales Consultant positions. The schedule involves four 10-hour shifts, including weekend work. The company provides a cell phone allowance, uniforms, and mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Greets store owner or manager to review specific instructions.
- Displays merchandise that meets customer needs and emphasizes selling points.
- Places new merchandise on display based on salesman instructions.
- Organizes customer back rooms.
- Repackages damaged packages and replaces them on shelves or coolers.
- Monitors and updates shelf tags.
- Takes inventory of stock and reports low or out-of-stock situations.
- Assists with resets as needed.
- Maintains current and themed P.O.S. to ensure maximum account coverage.
- Adheres to all standards in the sales manual (e.g., rotation).
- Checks voicemail 3 to 4 times daily and communicates regularly with drivers and salesmen.
- Travels to various client accounts, such as convenience stores and grocery stores.
Requirements
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation throughout the workday.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 250 pounds.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Employee is required to frequently work in a refrigerated atmosphere.
