About the Role
As Learning and Development Advisor, you will support continuous professional development within the Adult Social Care department, enabling staff to change lives for the better. You will embed best practice, up-skill caring professionals, and foster a confident work environment. You will be a key member of a supportive team, assisting in the design, coordination, and delivery of learning programmes, and providing business and administrative support. Your role involves identifying learning and development needs, translating them into delivery plans, and facilitating events. You will also review team work, manage data sets and statutory returns, and report on compliance to ensure the quality of services matches the passion of the staff.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, coordination and delivery of learning programmes.
- Provide business and administrative support.
- Personally provide learning and development support for key initiatives and projects.
- Identify learning and development needs within Adult Social Care.
- Translate learning needs into delivery plans.
- Develop, commission, deliver or facilitate events and interventions.
- Review the team’s work.
- Lead on completing and submitting data sets and statutory returns.
- Report on compliance.
Requirements
- Coordinating and planning events or managing projects.
- Designing, coordinating, delivering and evaluating learning and development programmes.
- Working within a social care setting.
- Knowledge of commissioning and procurement.
- Skilled communicator with a commitment to customer service.
- Ability to facilitate and present.
- Ability to carry out meaningful consultation to understand training needs and gather learning and development requirements.
- Standard DBS Check required.
- Care Leavers seeking their first job who meet essential criteria will be automatically invited to interview.
