About the Role

KPMG's Defence and National Security function is a fast-growing team seeking a manager to lead impactful projects, drive growth, and advance their career. This role involves leading complex consulting projects focused on technology-enabled change within National Security engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Support large-scale transformation in the National Security market to deliver existing and upcoming opportunities.
  • Help KPMG develop robust problem-solving methodologies, structure and review complex analysis, and deliver clear, effective deliverables.
  • Regularly interact with Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers within KPMG to source insight and expertise and provide progress updates.
  • Support interactions with members of the client’s leadership team.
  • Develop strong client relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of seniority.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of engagements, including work plans, timelines, project management, and resource allocations.

Requirements

  • Track record of working on complex consulting projects, including experience in business or operating model change, strategy development, strategic cost efficiency and management, investment decision support, or development of business cases and business plans.
  • Demonstrable experience developing Business Cases.
  • Good understanding of consulting problem-solving methodologies and their adaptation for client challenges in the Defence sector.
  • Good understanding of consulting skillsets including qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, storyboarding, report and slide creation, impactful presenting, team management, influencing, and relationship-building.
  • Essential for applicants to hold current 'National Security Vetting' aligned to a National Security organisation.
