About the Role
The Resource Technician II supports the daily operations of the Gilmore Center and other Bronson meeting, learning, and event locations. This role provides excellent customer service by assisting with audio/visual equipment, video/audio conferencing, and the resource scheduling system. The technician also troubleshoots equipment and software issues, assists with catering, and manages room setups and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day functioning of the Gilmore Center and other Bronson system meeting, learning, and event locations.
- Provide training and assistance with audio/visual equipment, video/audio conferencing, and the resource scheduling system.
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment and software.
- Assist with catering and serve as primary back-up for BMH Catering.
- Process reservation requests for classrooms, computer labs, conference rooms, and special accommodations.
- Assist manager with office duties, including resource emails and scheduling training.
- Perform room set-ups, cleaning, and maintenance of the Gilmore Center and other assigned areas.
- Set up and operate audiovisual, videoconference, and live event equipment.
- Provide training for WebEx, MondoPads, resource software, virtual meetings, and AV equipment.
- Administer room, catering, and AV scheduling software.
- Serve as the primary back-up for the catering coordinator.
- Influence standards for virtual meetings.
- Support team for system activities as assigned.
- Maintain and update the Room Resources Internet and Intranet Webpage.
- Back up and support Resource Technicians.
- Assist customers with AV equipment such as laptops, speakerphones, projectors, the MondoCenter System, and Creston audio and video systems.
- Ensure all resources are set up in rooms and ready for customer utilization for error-free events/meetings.
- Perform video taping setup and video recording.
- Assist customers with the scheduling system, audio/video conferencing, resource scheduling, and other assigned software.
- Assist the Resource Specialist with AV preventative maintenance, virtual meetings, and AV equipment implementation.
- Troubleshoot AV equipment and virtual meeting technology under pressure.
- Assign specific room configurations, set up rooms, and care for the conference center and other meeting and event areas.
- Compose and develop routine memos, correspondence, and written materials.
- Operate industrial cleaning machinery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Three years of experience.
- Two years of successful progressive experience in A/V equipment, virtual meeting software, equipment/software vendor communication, or equivalent applicable experience.
- Advanced knowledge in software including WebEx, wireless video/audio connectors, video editing, TurningPoint Technology, scheduling system, Microsoft office, audio/video conferencing, system resource scheduling, and other assigned software.
- Advanced knowledge and ability to troubleshoot AV equipment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn and master scheduling software.
- General familiarity of end-user business practices, concepts, and terminology sufficient to support AV and videoconference in a healthcare delivery environment.
- Ability to work with end-users to problem-solve in a short timeframe.
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously while maintaining friendly and courteous customer service behavior.

- Ability to travel by personal vehicle to multiple locations throughout the system.

- Knowledge of safe food handling and delivery and setup of catered food and supplies.
- Valid driver’s license and qualification for coverage under Bronson driving insurance.
- Exceptional customer service skills with superior oral and written communication skills necessary to consult with customers, manage projects, conduct presentations, and tactfully manage sensitive situations.
- Ability to interact with end-users to gather information necessary to diagnose, address, and document audio/visual issues.
- Ability to negotiate and act on deliverables and timeframes with stakeholders.
- Ability to take ownership of issues and respond within expected timeframes.
- Serves as an escalation point within Meeting & Event Resources for troubleshooting and resolving AV-related problems.
- Assists organization-wide Hardware and AV Support teams with setups.
- Perform assignments by Meeting & Event Resources to other departments for event support.
