About the Role
You're a talented Lead Product Designer with a passion for health and excitement about building our expanding healthcare platform. You enjoy working in dynamic environments, solving complex problems, and creating thoughtful, user-centred design solutions that make a real impact.
Responsibilities
- Own a domain, a product line's design, or a system others depend on.
- Drive outcomes across the domain, not a single surface, tying design to revenue, retention, cost, trust, and operational efficiency.
- Set the quality bar for a group of designers by shipping and coaching.
- Take line management of designers where needed, developing people without leaving the craft.
- Shape problem definition across a domain, focusing the team on what matters.
- Set the paradigms and standards for visual craft, including motion and micro-interactions.
- Set the accessibility bar for the domain, coaching others past basic compliance.
- Build design systems, information architecture, and shared surfaces across platforms.
- Connect design to business metrics and bring the patient voice into commercial discussions.
- Align people through clear communication, critique, and actionable opinions.
- Build conditions for working in the open, encouraging critique over presentation and safe sharing of work.
- Test real ideas in real code quickly through advanced prototyping.
- Redesign how the team works with AI, not just personal workflows.
- Identify and address AI's limitations and hold the line for the team.
- Expose and fix weak operating models, prioritizing judgment over production.
- Work end-to-end, from problem definition and research to information architecture and UX writing.
- Set the research and experimentation bar for your domain.
- Improve validation, testing, and results analysis within the team.
- Raise the writing bar for craft and compliance in regulated health.
- Set the bar for problem definition, especially for ambiguous problems.
- Show problem-solving that moved a commercial lever across a broader product area.
- Elevate people around you and build an inclusive team culture.
- Demonstrate how AI reshaped team workflows.
- Put patient outcomes first, balancing commercial growth with clinical safety and care.
- Work collaboratively across product, engineering, and clinical teams.
- Ask 'why' before 'how', staying curious about patients, problems, and tools.
Requirements
- Typically 8 years or more in product design.
- Track record of owning a domain.
- Experience building systems others depend on.
- Experience developing other designers.
- Portfolio showcasing problem-solving that moved a commercial lever across a broader product area.
- Portfolio demonstrating craft, polish, and care.
- Portfolio showing how you elevated people around you and built an inclusive team culture.
- Portfolio detailing how AI reshaped team workflows.
- Concise and clear writing in portfolio as a communication signal.
- Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
