About the Role
Colton RV & Marine is seeking a motivated Apprentice Auto Body Technician/Prepper to join their Body Shop team. This role offers a chance to begin a career in RV body repair and paint, with training and mentorship from experienced technicians in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist Body Technician with prepping units for paint, including sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces
- Support fiberglass repair processes and general body shop tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Research parts needed for repairs
- Assist with ordering parts and ensure accuracy upon arrival
- Move units and materials as needed within the shop
- Follow all safety procedures and Colton quality standards
Requirements
- 1+ year of automotive or auto body experience preferred
- Recent graduates of an auto body or collision repair program are strongly encouraged to apply
- Interest in auto body, collision repair, or hands-on mechanical work
- Basic knowledge of body shop tools and repair processes is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license preferred
