About the Role

As a 2D Artist at Black Kite, you will be responsible for delivering creative excellence from pitch through to delivery on high-profile VFX projects. You will collaborate closely with VFX Supervisors and Leads to integrate live-action and CG elements, establish looks for shots, and drive both creative and technical approaches using a range of compositing techniques and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Create outstanding creative VFX work.
• Seamlessly integrate live action and computer-generated elements into visual effects shots that realize the vision and creative direction of our clients.
• Develop visual solutions for a broad range of shots in collaboration with the VFX Supervisor and other artists.
• Use a wide range of compositing techniques and processes including but not limited to: 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering of elements, and colour grading to produce beautiful work.
• Collaborate and proactively communicate with the wider VFX team to ensure we deliver creative excellence at all times.

Requirements

• History of delivering outstanding VFX work across Commercials, TV or Film.
• Strong working knowledge of Flame or Nuke and other industry standard compositing software.
• Great eye and a problem-solving attitude.
• Team player and an excellent problem solver.
• Ambitious and strive to deliver excellence at all times.
• Strong understanding of the whole VFX pipeline.
• Keen to learn and always look for opportunities to expand your skills.
