About the Role

Yonder is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join their Insight practice. This role focuses on research and strategy projects for public and private sector clients, particularly in corporate affairs and politics. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in current affairs, defence and aerospace, and social/political/economic trends, with a proven track record of delivering high-standard, strategic client work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of projects focused on communications, corporate affairs, and government relations.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data and market intelligence to advise clients at a strategic level.
  • Produce intelligent and actionable insights through storytelling and data visualization.
  • Utilize research and consulting techniques to address client challenges related to political, social, and commercial trends.
  • Design and conduct projects, managing colleagues and suppliers to produce final reports, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Oversee and manage the work of less experienced team members, providing feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of colleagues through knowledge exchanges.
  • Liaise with others to develop Yonder’s offer across Corporate Affairs and Politics.
  • Potentially have line management responsibilities.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in a strategic, analytical, or research capacity.
  • Experience in helping clients understand their audiences and operating environment.
  • Experience in helping clients make better decisions regarding communications, politics, and/or corporate strategy.
  • Broad range of interests, including defence and aerospace.
  • Curiosity about how the business world works and awareness of current affairs and political trends.
  • Outstanding storytelling, written, and verbal skills.
  • Ability to manage projects independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience leading client relationships.
  • Confidence in a client-facing role.
  • Solid track record of successful new business development from both existing and new clients.
  • Ability to creatively apply data and intelligence to business challenges.
  • Initiative to grow, develop, and learn.
  • Experience managing less experienced team members.
  • Keenness to make a name for oneself through client relationships, thought leadership, or networking.
  • Experience in designing and/or interpreting qualitative and quantitative primary research is desirable.
  • Understanding of polling and its application to political communications is desirable.
  • Interest in Yonder’s other offerings, including brand strategy, advanced data analytics, and creative campaign execution.
