About the Role
Education GmbH is seeking a part-time HR Generalist to join their team in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg starting September 1, 2026. The role involves supporting HR operations for three primary schools and four kindergartens, serving approximately 950 children and 200 educational staff.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the point of contact for management, facility managers, and employees on personnel matters.
- Manage operational HR processes, including contract and reference letter creation, and conduct interviews and negotiations.
- Collaborate closely with the legal department, payroll office, authorities, and external partners.
- Process and manage personnel-related activities in the ISBJ portal.
- Independently prepare and submit required reports to the Senate.
- Maintain and manage personnel data and support HR processes in the Personio HR management system.
- Contribute to the optimization, standardization, and digitalization of HR processes.
- Prepare monthly payroll using automated processes, coordinating with the payroll office.
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., HR specialist, office communication clerk, office clerk).
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in HR.
- Practical experience in preparatory payroll accounting.
- Sound knowledge of payroll accounting, social security, and wage tax law.
- Strong service orientation in HR and enjoyment of working with people.
- Meticulous and results-oriented work approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of responsibility, organizational talent, and teamwork skills.
