About the Role

January is seeking an Account Executive to amplify its growth by owning the full sales cycle for a named account list of banks, credit unions, and fintechs, from cold outreach to signed contract. This role offers the opportunity to improve upon a codified GTM motion and report directly to the VP of Revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Run enterprise-quality buying processes across a named account list, managing complex multi-stakeholder deals from cold outreach to close
  • Build champions who can defend January in rooms you're not in by equipping them with materials, preparing them for internal meetings, and war-gaming objections
  • Construct business cases grounded in recovery rate uplift and financial impact, making the cost of inaction palpable
  • Navigate procurement, legal redlines, and compliance dependencies independently
  • Maintain exceptional deal hygiene, working cold and warm leads, disqualifying what doesn't fit, and prioritizing accounts that scale
  • Codify learnings (winning messages, buyer archetypes, recurring objections) back into a GTM motion

Requirements

  • Comfortable owning a number, having carried quota directly or operated close enough to revenue ownership
  • Ability to push past surface signals and apply diagnostic rigor to pipeline and self
  • Willingness to operate at 70% confidence rather than waiting for certainty, surfacing deal risks proactively
  • Ability to build structure from a cold account without managerial direction
  • Understanding of incentive structures, buyer motivations, and political feasibility within regulated institutions
  • Ability to make deliberate choices about where energy goes with a named account list and limited time
  • Capacity to communicate at the altitude the room requires, shifting between different levels of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder commercial processes
  • Track record of generating revenue without heavy structural support

  • We started in the hardest, most broken stage of consumer finance, proving our model works anywhere.
  • 70 million Americans fall behind on debt annually; most want to pay but can't find a way back.
  • We've serviced over $20 billion in debt for more than 20 million consumers.

  • We are moving upstream to catch people before they default and building across the entire consumer credit lifecycle.
  • Our GTM organization has hit top growth metrics with a lean structure, validating our product and approach.
  • We believe decentralization, speed, candor, and writing are key to our success.
