About the Role

As a Basketball Coach, you will inspire children and young people to get active, develop their skills, and build confidence through sport. You will deliver fun, inclusive, and engaging basketball coaching sessions as part of Camden's Sport and Physical Activity Team, encouraging a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality coaching sessions for children and young people.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for participants.
• Support a range of community sport programmes.
• Maintain accurate participant records.
• Collaborate with schools, community organisations, and colleagues.
• Contribute to wider team activities, training, and events.

Requirements

• Recognised Level 2 basketball coaching qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience of coaching children and young people.
• Passionate about using sport to positively influence young people's lives.
• Committed to delivering enjoyable and inclusive coaching sessions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• High professional standards.
• Confident working with children, parents, teachers, and partner organisations.
• Act as a positive role model.
• Willingness to continue developing coaching skills.
• Willingness to contribute to the wider Sport and Physical Activity Team.
