About the Role
Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join a team of 7 Anesthesiologists serving the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and surrounding communities. This role offers the opportunity to engage in research and/or medical teaching positions with Dalhousie University. Nova Scotia Health is committed to excellence in health, healing, and learning.
Responsibilities
- Perform the full scope of practice as an anesthesiologist.
- Provide care to patients within the Eastern Zone.
- Participate in call rotations.
- Operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
- Offer services in the Pain Clinic, if desired.
Requirements
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) or proof of alternative coverage.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

- Fee for Service (Pain Clinic services are paid at a sessional rate)
