About the Role
We are looking for our first Strategy Director on the ground in the US to play a key role in our agency's growth. You will lead and deliver pitch work in partnership with our VP of New Business and our Chief Creative Officer, as well as lead award-winning work for our clients. You will benefit from the support and leadership of our established UK Strategy department, under the wing of our Chief Strategy Officer. Strategists at Born Social get their kicks from the thinking over the doing, have a deep understanding of how brands can be built in the social era, get excited by a killer deck, and push the creative work built from them. You understand how to best present ideas and build relationships with senior client teams. As a leader of this function, you will push our thinking forward.
Responsibilities
- Set the standard for innovative research and effective strategies aligned to our client's business goals.
- Drive measurable effectiveness of all work.
- Write and deliver strong creative briefs that push the standard of our work.
- Partner with our creative leaders to bring ideas to life.
- Build stories that persuade and manage client rooms as a senior voice.
- Establish strategic long-term client relationships.
- Lead in new business pitches, thought leadership, and external marketing initiatives.
- Build and nurture a team to create a high-performance culture that reflects our values, supports development, and enables talent to thrive.
Requirements
- Expertise in defining and implementing social-first strategies, leveraging tools and technologies to enhance strategic output, efficiency, and measurable results.
- Seasoned storyteller, who can build influence and authority swiftly.
- Strong relationship-building skills, particularly with senior clients (e.g., CMOs, Marketing Directors) and cross-agency partners, with the ability to position the agency as a strategic leader.
- Skilled in driving revenue growth and collaborating with client services to expand opportunities, while ensuring accurate resource scoping and commercial success.
- Leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing, engaged teams by implementing growth plans and ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Strong planning, organisational, and collaborative abilities to support department vision, uphold agency standards, and deliver goals.

- $160,000 to $180,000
