About the Role

The Portfolio Strategy & Analytics (PS&A) team aims to enhance investor outcomes through effective portfolio construction and risk management of private markets funds. This role focuses on Northleaf's private credit investment strategy, requiring a motivated individual with intellectual curiosity, strong analytical skills, and a passion for problem-solving to drive insights and improve decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ownership, with support, of portfolio construction and fund management activities for Northleaf’s private credit funds.
  • Conduct reviews of Northleaf’s private credit portfolios, assessing performance, risk, and go-forward strategy.
  • Build and maintain fund models and conduct additional analyses to inform decision-making for private credit funds.
  • Conduct research and develop insights to support the creation of new investment funds.
  • Engage in investor-facing activities, including responding to diligence inquiries, supporting external communications with analysis, and participating in client meetings.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience, preferably in private credit or other alternative asset classes, investment or corporate banking, financial services, or management consulting.
  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Proficient in utilizing AI tools to generate insights.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive problem-solver.
  • Ability to think critically and challenge assumptions with rationale.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Possesses crisp verbal and written communication skills.
