About the Role
Canary Systems is seeking an IT Manager to manage staff computer inventory, IT onboarding/offboarding, and support/maintain computing and data collection platforms. Some travel is required, and proximity to our New London, NH office is necessary for at least one day per week in-office work. We are open to training the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Manage staff laptop inventory, including procurement and rebuilds.
- Provide IT onboarding and offboarding for staff, including training.
- Deploy and manage collocated server hosting environments.
- Implement security systems and standards for deployments.
- Deploy and maintain 24x7 platform monitoring tools.
- Prepare and maintain documentation around infrastructure and standards.
- Install and manage software and databases.
- Develop workflows for deploying and managing infrastructure assets.
- Provide presentations to internal and external clients.
- Provide platform support, including training, to internal and external clients.
Requirements
- General computer and networking hardware expertise.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Workstation (10, 11) and Server OS’s (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025).
- Experience with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and .NET.
- Knowledge of SQL database systems including Firebird and PostgreSQL.
- Programming and scripting skills including SQL, Python, Javascript, VBScript, and Powershell.
- Familiarity with cloud productivity platforms including Office365, JIRA, and Zendesk.
- Understanding of cybersecurity standards and testing such as SOC1, SOC2, and ISO27001.
- Experience with firewalls, VPN’s, MFA, and other access control systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
