About the Role
This is a senior, quota-carrying role leading Velocity's sales efforts into the largest and most complex fintech and payments companies across EMEA. You will sell regulated stablecoin payment infrastructure into financial institutions, issuers, acquirers, large PSPs, global marketplaces, and scaled fintechs. Beyond your own number, you will raise the ceiling on how we sell, taking on accounts that need the most seniority, sharpening pricing and positioning for complex enterprise deals, and working with leadership to shape commercial strategy.
Responsibilities
- Own a revenue quota against a portfolio of strategic and enterprise accounts, and be accountable for pipeline generation, progression, and closed business.
- Source and build your own pipeline through outbound, network, events, and inbound follow-up, with the seniority to open doors at CFO, Treasurer, and Head of Payments level.
- Own the full sales cycle end to end: prospecting, pitching, discovery, solution shaping, commercial and legal negotiation, close, and go-live, typically spanning several quarters and multiple decision-makers.
- Structure and negotiate commercially significant agreements, including pricing, liquidity, and settlement terms, in partnership with Finance and Legal.
- Drive adoption of Velocity across the EMEA payments ecosystem, and build a repeatable, disciplined sales motion with clear qualification, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Act as a force multiplier for the wider commercial team, setting the standard on deal strategy and supporting more junior sellers on complex opportunities.
- Work closely with Product to translate enterprise requirements into product direction, and influence roadmap prioritisation.
- Represent Velocity at senior level at industry conferences and events across the region.
Requirements
- 6-10+ years' experience in enterprise sales, business development, or partnerships, the majority of it in a quota-carrying closing role.
- Deep payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure experience, with a sophisticated understanding of how money moves cross-border and where cost, float, and friction sit.
- A demonstrable track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota on complex enterprise deals, and the numbers to back it up.
- Experience closing large, multi-stakeholder deals with financial institutions, PSPs, acquirers, marketplaces, or scaled fintechs, including navigating procurement, risk, and compliance review.
- A strong, established network across the EMEA payments or fintech ecosystem that you can activate from day one.
- Experience selling technical or API-based products to business and institutional buyers, with the credibility to hold a conversation with both a treasurer and an engineer.
- Exposure to stablecoins or digital assets is an advantage, but deep payments experience matters more than prior crypto experience.
