About the Role

The Assistant Director will oversee the day-to-day functions and operations of the WorkGuide vocational program, including staff supervision, program auditing/billing, and case assessment/assignment. This position will carry a partial caseload as needed and oversee various components of WorkGuide. Assists in the development of new vocational services and community outreach, ensuring a seamless continuum of vocational opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Requires flexible hours, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Respects and maintains customer confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates a positive and caring attitude towards all customers and staff.
  • Ensures program compliance with regulations and staff training requirements of all oversight agencies.
  • Assists with new vocational program development in accordance with DePaul’s goals to broaden our scope of Vocational Services.
  • Provide leadership and evaluation of vocational programs throughout DePaul to ensure the continuity of services.
  • Interface with ACCES-VR participants, employers, families, school personnel, and professional, medical and psychiatric personnel.
  • Will carry a partial caseload as needed.
  • Responsible for program reporting and billing.
  • Responsible for providing supervision and training of assigned WorkGuide staff.
  • Cross trained to be able to provide coverage for all management responsibilities.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee services specific to contracts through ACCES-VR, OMH, SSA, and other relevant funding streams.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or requested by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Must have reliable transportation vehicle to perform job duties.
  • Must have a clean driving record that meets Agency’s “Clean Driving Record Policy”.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to perform basic office tasks such as typing, filing, and operating standard office equipment.
