About the Role

FIONA, FIRST's Innovation and AI unit, is establishing the company as an intelligence-driven partner. The AI Solutions Lead will be a hands-on builder within FIONA's new AI Innovation Studio, designing and building working AI solutions, then scaling successful ones across the company. This role bridges business, product, and technology by transforming ambiguous problems into working prototypes using modern AI-assisted development and driving adoption for proven solutions.

Responsibilities

Run discovery workshops and translate ambiguous, multi-stakeholder problems into clear, actionable technical briefs.
Use agentic workflows and AI coding tools to build and design AI solutions and tools from concept to a working proof of concept.
Scale AI solutions that prove out and drive their adoption across other teams and use cases at FIRST.
Own solution design for AI Innovation Studio initiatives, ensuring designs are practical and buildable.
Contribute to foundational data/AI governance, including responsible use and data-rights clarity.
Prioritize speed and pragmatic delivery over exhaustive engineering polish.
Take on direct management of technical staff as the Studio grows.

Requirements

5-8 years of relevant experience.
5+ years in a role blending hands-on technical building with business analysis or solution design.
Comfortably run discovery workshops and work directly with cross-functional or client stakeholders.
Strong, demonstrable fluency with agentic workflows and AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor).
A track record of personally building and shipping working AI or data prototypes.
Working knowledge of data governance practices.
Evidence of mentoring, informal leadership, or leading workstreams.
Strong communication skills, able to translate technical work for both technical and non-technical audiences.
