About the Role
Founders Forum Group is seeking an Event Manager to produce and manage logistics for flagship forums and ecosystem events, working closely with the Senior Event Operations Manager. This role offers the chance to collaborate with passionate colleagues, host events in global cities, and support a community of leading entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities
- Own the operational planning and delivery of Founders Forum events, including conferences, gala dinners, and new ecosystem events.
- Utilize Asana for task and timeline tracking, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Support event budget management, including cost tracking and reconciliations.
- Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with venues and suppliers.
- Coordinate logistical planning for production, catering, event flow, staffing, accommodation, and travel.
- Lead on-site event operations, proactively managing issues and troubleshooting.
- Produce comprehensive event documentation, including running orders, production schedules, and contingency plans.
- Support the development of scalable event processes and best practices.
- Contribute creatively to enhancing guest experience and event production.
- Support the identification of in-kind partnership opportunities.
- Assist with post-event evaluations and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with Content, Marketing, Community, and Partnerships teams for smooth operational delivery.
Requirements
- Meticulous planner with experience in end-to-end event operations and logistics.
- Experience with budget tracking.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high standards and attention to detail.
- Skilled in sourcing and negotiating with vendors and suppliers.
- Personable with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem solver with a proactive attitude.
- Entrepreneurial drive, creativity, resilience, and self-driven.
- Collaborative and enjoys working in a fun, dynamic team.
- Passionate about creating memorable and seamless events.
- Significant proven experience as an Event Manager.
- Extensive experience managing suppliers, vendors, and contracts.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using project management tools (e.g., Asana) and Google Workspace.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends.
- Right to work in the UK.
