About the Role
Ziina is seeking a Product Designer to contribute to building engaging new features and shaping the engineering organization. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, capable of solving complex problems, moving quickly, articulating tradeoffs, and independently owning features with a focus on high-quality product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design of complex product surfaces, from initial problem framing and research synthesis through to pixel-perfect specs and post-launch iteration
- Work closely with product, engineering, and data to define what gets built and why
- Translate ambiguous, multi-constraint problems into clear, elegant flows
- Build and maintain an interaction vocabulary that scales
- Raise the bar on design quality across the product
- Be a voice for the user in roadmap conversations, synthesizing research, behavioral data, and instincts into a coherent point of view
Requirements
- 4+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio showing work on complex, multi-state mobile flows (ideally in fintech, consumer apps, or high-usage transactional products)
- Systems thinking: designing logic that connects screens, not just screens themselves
- Ability to move fluidly between strategy and craft
- Clear writing and analytical thinking for articulating design decisions
- Treating research as a design tool, synthesizing signals quickly
- Working relationship with AI tools for execution, idea stress-testing, and focus on hard thinking
- Obsession with user-noticeable details like timing, affordance, feedback, and trust signals in a payments context
- High integrity and a team-first mindset
- Based in, or open to relocating to, the UAE
