About the Role
The Part 1 Architectural Assistant Placement will support the line manager in the preparation, coordination, and management of tasks across all RIBA plan of work stages. They will work collaboratively with other team members to assist in the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and specification of building projects, ensuring compliance with current standards, regulations, and best practice guidance.
- Assist in the production and development of technical drawings and digital models using industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhino.
- Produce high-quality physical models to communicate design concepts, technical solutions, and project proposals.
- Support the progression of projects through key statutory processes such as bids and stage reports.
- Work between teams including team support and marketing.
- Attend site visits and inspections to develop a practical understanding of construction processes, site operations, and project delivery.
- Engage proactively and professionally with the team and clients to deliver a high standard of service, mindful of commercial and project constraints.
Requirements
- Holds a relevant undergraduate degree in Architecture (Part 1 or equivalent).
- Possesses communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the team and clients.
- Demonstrates skills in graphic and visual communications.
- Has a sound understanding of architectural and engineering design principles, theory, and application in practice.
- Ability to contribute effectively both within a collaborative team environment and when working independently.
- Shows initiative, anticipating needs and taking ownership of tasks.
