About the Role

The organization is seeking a Recruiting Specialist to manage high-volume recruitment efforts for roles including Case Workers, Social Workers, Medication room staff, Personal Care Aides, and Program Aides, while maintaining a strong focus on candidate quality and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-volume hiring efforts while ensuring a high standard of candidate quality
  • Source candidates through job boards, referrals, community outreach, and other recruiting channels
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate hiring processes with department managers
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, workforce planning, and hiring priorities
  • Provide a consultative approach to recruitment, aligning on candidate profiles and hiring strategies
  • Administer and coordinate complex background checks and pre-employment requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and hiring regulations (e.g., FCRA, EEO)
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation of new hires, including completion and compliance of I-9 employment eligibility verification and related employment documentation
  • Support a smooth and timely transition from offer acceptance through start date
  • Ensure timely hiring to meet operational and program needs
  • Deliver a high-quality, responsive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics, candidate flow, and source effectiveness

Requirements

  • Ability to fill high-volume roles within tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to balance speed and quality in hiring
  • Experience administering and managing complex background checks
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with recruiting for Social Services roles (preferred)
  • Experience building candidate pipelines proactively (not just reacting)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent of education and work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in high-volume recruiting
  • Hands-on experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), such as ADP Workforce Now, Sage, UKG, or similar platforms
