About the Role

Delta Capita is seeking a qualified attorney for a senior legal documentation drafting role within its Structured Products team in New York. This role involves providing legal documentation drafting and issuance support to cross-asset structured products businesses at Tier 1 Investment Banks, helping clients reduce costs and improve processes through mutualized managed services.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review legal documentation, including pricing supplements and ancillary documents, for structured product transactions.
  • Manage a pipeline of transactions to meet strict deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Provide legal advice on documentation and templates for new or adapted payoffs, liaising with internal and external counsel.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex legal or documentation issues.
  • Mentor paralegals and junior documentation team members.
  • Drive process improvements and lead the adoption of technology for document automation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client contacts in Operations, Structuring, Legal, and Trading.

Requirements

  • J.D. and active bar admission (New York bar preferred) required.
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience in the financial services industry drafting issuance documentation for securities, structured products, or complex/non-standard derivatives.
  • Deep experience with structured products and/or derivative transactions, including complex or bespoke payoffs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise legal judgment, and manage a high-volume transaction pipeline.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to prioritize workflows to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Excellent Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid work authorization for the US is mandatory.
