About the Role

This is a hands-on, entry-level position in the Compost department focused on learning and operating composting facilities, machinery, and equipment. The primary goal is to safely and efficiently process manure into compost, with a secondary responsibility for basic equipment maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and clean composting equipment under direct supervision.
  • Assist in safely and efficiently processing manure into compost.
  • Assist with keeping equipment in top condition through cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Learn to fix compost machinery.
  • Learn the operation of a skid steer and payloader under direct supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong aptitude for operating equipment (Payloader, Skid steer, dump truck).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • A high degree of initiative.
  • Able to work independently when proficient with job duties.
  • Class B Driver's license preferred.
