Responsibilities
- Manage shift duties of clean and safe ambassadors, ensuring compliance with Block by Block standards, best practices, procedures, and policies.
- Hold the team responsible for completing projects and remaining productive.
- Communicate and lead daily shift briefings, assigning duties and zones, and reviewing events, weather, and safety updates.
- Provide excellent customer service to the BID and the team of Ambassadors.
- Provide guidance and direction for on-street and in-field operations.
- Provide written reports of broken infrastructure and graffiti on private property.
- Provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed.
- Provide direction and counsel to team members and report concerns to the Operations Manager.
- Maintain a positive, professional environment in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and Block by Block standards.
- Traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift with normal breaks.
- Work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
- Speak, read, and write the English language to create basic reports.
- Be proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office products.
- Operate machines as needed for special projects and maintenance.
Requirements
- Prior managerial/supervisory experience.
- Special project/Maintenance background - fixing banners, pressure washers, and operating other machines.
- Valid TX Driver's License with a clean record.
- Ability to drive and operate a vehicle.
- Physical capacity to traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift with normal breaks.
- Ability to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more when needed.
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English language to create basic reports.
- Basic knowledge of smart phone technology.
- Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office products.
