About the Role

The Head of Europe ETF Capital Markets Solutions will lead primary and secondary market activities for State Street Investment Management’s European ETF platform, ensuring liquidity, market quality, and trading efficiency. This role is central to the ETF franchise, influencing market performance and competitiveness. It also involves advancing the ETF-as-a-Service (EaaS) offering by providing Capital Markets support to external clients throughout the ETF lifecycle, including strategy, onboarding, and primary market design.

Responsibilities

Own and lead secondary market quality across ETFs, including spreads, depth, and execution consistency relative to peers
Oversee primary market activity, including creations/redemptions, basket construction, and AP engagement
Build and maintain senior relationships with market makers, APs, exchanges, and liquidity providers
Develop a Contractual Market Making strategy that improves market quality and sales effectiveness
Drive automation and scalability of ETF markets oversight through data and technology initiatives
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Investments, Funds Management, Trading, Legal, and Operations teams to improve market quality outcomes

Requirements

Deep expertise in ETF capital markets, including primary and secondary market mechanics
Strong understanding of European ETF ecosystem (UCITS, multi-listing structure, etc.)
Established relationships with APs, market makers, and exchanges
Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving cross-functional initiatives
Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
