About the Role
Support the Compliance Manager in developing, maintaining, and overseeing compliance and governance processes. Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on regulatory interpretation and application to manage regulatory risk and maintain compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead business partner for agreed areas, providing advice and oversight on applicable regulation and Lloyd’s rules.
- Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of PRA, FCA, Lloyd’s, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support the first line with strong business knowledge.
- Deliver agreed areas of the compliance plan, reporting on issues, achievements, and opportunities for improvement.
- Undertake thematic reviews and specific monitoring across relevant business areas and the compliance framework.
- Contribute to the development of the Compliance Framework.
- Support compliance policies and procedures.
- Promote proactive compliance through effective training and communication.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a Compliance function.
- Ideally 5+ years of company market and/or Lloyd’s experience.
- Experience working within a multi-line insurance organisation.
- Strong understanding of insurance business activities and objectives.
- Ability to build effective relationships across the enterprise.
- Ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to work successfully in a matrix environment.
- A pragmatic, business-focused approach.
- Ability to understand how regulatory requirements apply to commercial objectives and the Compliance Framework.
- Strong execution, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
