About the Role
We at GE Power Conversion develop customized electrical drive and automation technology solutions. We use our advanced, forward-looking motor, drive, and control technologies to further develop today's industrial processes for a cleaner and more productive future. We support a wide variety of applications, such as railway converters, test benches for automotive and renewable energies, pumped storage power plants, and electrical equipment for power plant technology, as well as research projects – including extensive service offerings.
Responsibilities
- Performing service activities and preparing the commissioning of electrical drive and automation systems in industrial plants (e.g., pumped storage power plant, rolling mill drive, test bench drives)
- Assembly of our products and systems
- Assembly control and signal checks as part of commissioning preparation
- Checking and controlling partial functions
- Technical organization and deployment preparation
- Further tasks and development opportunities depending on inclination and talent (e.g., commissioning...)
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Professional experience in the electrical engineering field and interest in technical processes
- Enjoyment of automation devices and routine handling of IT equipment
- Strong team spirit and independent working style
- High willingness to travel domestically and abroad
- Good German and English language skills
