About the Role

This role involves key store management responsibilities including supervising daily store activities, ensuring store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

Responsibilities

• Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Understands and communicates company strategy and core values.
• Monitors the competitive environment and informs leadership of necessary adjustments.
• Provides product feedback and recommendations to leadership.
• Participates in the interviewing process for store personnel.
• Communicates weekly information, team milestones, developments, and concerns.
• Ensures store personnel adhere to inventory, product handling, and cash control policies.
• Resolves operational customer concerns in the direct leader’s absence.
• Identifies and rectifies hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics and maintaining store equipment.
• Maintains store cleanliness standards and proper store signage.
• Assists the direct leader with maintaining proper stock levels through product ordering.
• Merchandises product neatly to maximize sales.
• Ensures the quality and freshness of products and accuracy of product signage.
• Assists their direct leader with achieving store payroll and total loss budget, inventory counts, and training new employees.
• Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team, escalating issues as necessary.
• Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities effectively.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Ability to follow instructions and give attention to detail.
• Meets any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving.
• Ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
