About the Role
As a Capture Manager at KBR, you will lead the process of winning new business opportunities within Australia's Defence domain. You will own qualified opportunities, manage capture and proposal phases, develop winning strategies, and build high-performing teams to ensure every pursuit reflects KBR's commitment to excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement win strategies, competitive intelligence portfolios, teaming strategies, and customer assessments to maximize probability-of-win.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, solution architects, engineers, commercial and finance staff, and business development personnel.
- Oversee the development of compelling proposals in partnership with the Proposal Management team, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and managing the bid process.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Ensure adherence to relevant policies, manage risks, and maintain the integrity of the capture process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in capture management or bid management within the Australian Defence industry.
- Experience in complex captures across space or prime systems integration preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in developing and executing capture strategies.
- Proven understanding of Australian Defence/Government Agency acquisition processes combined with an appreciation of capability solution elements (e.g., scope, cost, and schedule).
- Ability to manage complex projects and budgets.
- Experience with proposal writing and development.
- Must be an Australian citizen and hold or have held a minimum NV1 Australian Government security clearance.
- Proven track record in building pipelines and achieving success.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, driven, and able to work autonomously.
- Eligible to hold an AGSVA security clearance.
- Compliance to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
