About the Role

As a Pre-/Post-Sales Engineer Deutschlandplattform (w/m/d), you will be the technical spearhead for connecting new organizations and applications to the Deutschlandplattform. You will be hands-on responsible for the successful onboarding of authorities and other users from federal, state, and local governments. You will also ensure that digital specialist applications are deployed efficiently, securely, and in compliance with standards on our multi-cloud-capable platform. As part of GovTech Deutschland, you will directly contribute to making modern, sovereign cloud infrastructures productively usable for the entire public administration.

Responsibilities

Accompany the connection of new authorities and other users to the technical platform and support with technical questions.
Provide technical support for the onboarding of new specialist applications onto the platform, particularly with configuration, testing, and commissioning.
Participate in the further development and automation of integration and deployment processes, e.g., through configuration and scripting tools or CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate closely with our partners, authorities, and manufacturers of digital specialist applications to clarify technical requirements and ensure compatibility with platform standards.
Support error analysis, performance optimization, and ensure stable operation of integrated applications.
Document implemented integrations and support the further development of technical onboarding processes.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform architecture, especially regarding scalability, security, and reusability.

Requirements

Excellent completion of a university degree in computer science or a comparable field.
Several years of experience as a Solution Engineer or in Pre-/Post-Sales; experience in Cloud, SaaS, or platform development is advantageous.
Practical experience with network, API, and security topics (e.g., IAM, AD, DMZ, VPN, OAuth2, TLS) and/or sound knowledge of common DevOps tools (CI/CD, Git, Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Independent, pragmatic, and structured work style with a passion for operational, solution-oriented work.
Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
