About the Role

As a Tax Staff at Cherry Bekaert, you will work on a wide variety of tax engagements under the supervision of different accounting professionals, engaging and serving clients from various industries and developing tax knowledge while preparing basic and intermediate individual tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Engage and serve clients from various industries
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients
• Develop tax knowledge while preparing basic and intermediate individual tax returns
• Prepare federal and multi-state corporate tax returns and basic partnership returns
• Research fundamental tax issues using online tools
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files
• Perform other essential duties as needed

Requirements

• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel
• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles
• Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
• Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship for this position

Skills

Education Level

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Masters preferred
• CPA certified or the eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required

Salary/Compensations

• $66,000 - $76,000
