About the Role

This role supports the investment team with analysis work on portfolio performance, sector benchmarking, and follow-on rounds. It offers direct exposure to global LPs, Partners, and leading technology founders, serving as a 'Venture MBA' to build foundational knowledge in a VC firm.

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit presentations for prospective and existing LPs, from outline to final version.
  • Transform rough briefs and meeting notes into polished, coherent narratives.
  • Maintain and improve core fundraising materials for accuracy and currency.
  • Own version control, consistency, and quality across all capital formation team outputs.
  • Build performance data, benchmarking, portfolio metrics, and fund-level analysis.
  • Research the market and peer set to establish Airtree's competitive standing.
  • Validate claims before inclusion in presentations to ensure defensibility.
  • Compile data for LP requests, diligence questions, and reporting.
  • Prepare briefing materials for LP meetings.
  • Capture meeting outcomes to inform positioning strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Investor Relations Manager on CRM data, roadshow logistics, and investor communications.
  • Increase direct LP contact over time as context and credibility grow.
  • Support fund-level analysis for investor materials, including portfolio construction, ownership, reserves strategy, and deployment pacing.
  • Benchmark Airtree against peer funds on performance, size, pacing, and construction using industry data sources.
  • Own the underlying data for LP diligence requests and DDQs, ensuring data integrity and reconciliation.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or a comparable analytical role.
  • A degree in finance, commerce, economics, or a similar field.
  • Analytical rigor with the ability to dissect datasets, sanity-check numbers, and identify errors.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring polished outputs.
  • Proficiency in building clear, well-structured, and visually appealing presentations quickly.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Skill in handling senior stakeholders, understanding briefs, asking pertinent questions, and delivering accurate results.
  • Genuine interest in technology and startups, with a desire to work in venture capital.
  • Team player mentality, willing to support colleagues and contribute to a collaborative environment.
  • Utilize AI to optimize work while maintaining authenticity and a strict '0 AI slop' policy.
