About the Role

Driver – Class “A” is responsible for making daily deliveries of Company products to customers using a Company-provided vehicle. This role may involve delivering bulk oil or other merchandise, picking up returns, loading and unloading the vehicle, conducting inspections, maintaining logs, and handling shipping documents.

Responsibilities

• Transports bulk oil and miscellaneous stock via 18 Wheeler truck
• Perform pre trip, and post trip inspections which includes checking gasoline, oil, water, and tires and fills as required.
• Record any malfunctions of equipment on the Inspection Sheet
• Loads and unloads trucks both manually and using forklifts, pallet jacks or hand trucks
• Maintain Daily Log Sheets which includes entering miles and times at each stop.
• Maintains delivery, truck and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgements; recording tracking information; completing driver log and truck performance forms
• Handle money from customers and make change if necessary
• Present a good image of the company through proper dress and attitude.
• Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local and DOT driving rules and regulations
• Responsible for maintaining a clean vehicle, both on the exterior and the interior
• Maintain a satisfactory attendance record
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, work stations and shipping supply areas neat in the warehouse.
• Complying with all OSHA and company safety procedures, rules and regulations

Requirements

• Must be able to drive both automatic and manual transmission
• Courteous treatment of and assistance to customers
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury and damage to self and others when operating a company vehicle
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
• Must have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Work involves continual walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching
• Work involves climbing and descending stairs frequently
• Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. of weight on a continuous basis
• Ability to read and write in English
• Must successfully complete background check, criminal history check
• Must pass a physical, human performance evaluation, and drug test
• Attitude that supports the Company’s goals and values
• Must maintain regular and prompt attendance
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have clear driving record for previous 3 years

Skills
