About the Role
The Food Service Director plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of running a large food service operation with one or more production kitchens, overseeing both operational and financial responsibilities. This position supervises an Assistant Food Service Director and/or a team of Food Service Supervisors and/or Cooks within a secure correctional facility.
Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of running a large food service operation with one or more production kitchens.
- Oversees the kitchen's operational and financial responsibilities.
- Supervises an Assistant Food Service Director and/or a team of Food Service Supervisors and/or Cooks involved with food preparation, serving, and clean-up in a secure correctional facility.
- Performs other duties as determined by the needs of the business.
Requirements
- High school diploma or Equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Five years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- ServSafe Certification.
- Knowledge and experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports.

- $58,000 - 60,000/year
