About the Role

Responsibilities

Rotations offered in ICU and Anaesthetics for 3 months, totaling 12 months of accredited Emergency training (ACEM trainee).
Opportunity to choose between 0.5-1.0 FTE in the emergency department or three-to-six months rotational terms in ICU and Anaesthetics for the second year.
Contribute to the department with protocol development, M&M presentations, and teaching opportunities.
Undertake relevant ongoing professional development.

Requirements

Current ACEM trainees post primary examination (TS2, TS3 or TS4).
Must hold current AHPRA registration.
Must have Australian Work Rights, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Demonstrated commitment to training in emergency medicine.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to work independently within a supervised clinical environment using excellent clinical skills, judgement, and expertise.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Great interpersonal skills with compassionate and professional communication with patients, their family, and your colleagues.
Demonstrated systematic approach to department management with ability to prioritise tasks, take initiative and problem solve to safely manage critically unwell patients.
Adaptable to a team-oriented and fast-paced work environment.
