About the Role

This opportunity is ideal for applicants looking to complete an apprenticeship in AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, while also gaining additional knowledge and practical training in electric vehicle systems. As part of your development, you will receive exposure to electric vehicle training units such as Depower and Reinitialise Battery Electric Vehicles AURETH101, alongside manufacturer and on the job training.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside qualified technicians to carry out vehicle servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and inspections in line with manufacturer standards.
  • Progressively take on more responsibility while being supported through structured on the job training, formal TAFE requirements, and additional BYD specific training.
  • Perform general servicing and vehicle inspections.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness.
  • Follow safe work practices.

Requirements

  • Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Genuine interest in the automotive industry.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • No prior experience required for new apprentices (commitment and enthusiasm needed).
  • Relevant trade experience and progress toward qualification highly regarded for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year apprentices.
  • A current driver's licence or willingness to obtain one is essential.
