About the Role

This role champions continuous improvement by enhancing procurement frameworks, streamlining tendering and contract management processes, and embedding consistent, best-practice approaches across the Department. It promotes strong governance and risk management practices while supporting the ongoing maintenance of procurement standards and accreditation to deliver sustainable, high-quality outcomes. A key focus is developing procurement capability by leading and mentoring a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, and ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet evolving business priorities and deliver successful procurement outcomes.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Demonstrated extensive experience at a senior level in the management of a large complex team
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
  • Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check)
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number
  • Relevant screening checks will be conducted
  • Must provide three identity documents
