About the Role

Teach For All is seeking an entrepreneurial, strategically minded Director of Philanthropic Partnerships to expand support for its global work from the San Francisco Bay Area. This dynamic role is designed for someone who thrives on identifying, cultivating, and securing the support of new high-net-worth individual (HNWI) donors for an inspiring and important cause. The ideal candidate will create an active network within the Bay Area's globally-minded philanthropic circles and is mission-driven, strategic, and an exceptional communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Map and prospect the Bay Area High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) landscape for new potential champions.
  • Leverage existing networks and build new bridges into tech, venture capital, and global philanthropic ecosystems.
  • Build deep, trusting relationships with entrepreneurs and philanthropists, resulting in significant new investments.
  • Design and execute personalized cultivation strategies using internal and external resources.
  • Conceptualize and execute strategies to elevate Teach For All’s profile among Bay Area tech leaders and HNWIs.
  • Design and curate donor and prospect experiences.
  • Identify and partner with key Bay Area champions to host targeted events.
  • Develop compelling ways to convey Teach For All’s approach, theory of change, and impact.
  • Represent Teach For All at events across the Bay Area to grow visibility.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience and relationships in the Bay Area, with a network across high net worth sectors.
  • Mission-driven and energized by mobilizing resources towards a global cause.
  • Skilled relationship builder who builds trust quickly and navigates networks with humility and confidence.
  • Possesses strong critical thinking skills and ability to engage in high-level discussions.
  • Self-starter, energized by a blank canvas and comfortable operating independently.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to convey nuanced ideas simply and persuasively.
  • Previous development experience not required.
  • Prior experience as an alumni and/or leader from within the Teach For All network is preferred.
  • Must already possess valid work and residency authorization to work in the country of hire.
